How Do I Help?
Pain Management
I always start my sessions with the use of specialized equipment. I use 21st Century technology to help alleviate pain, discomfort and tightness before we start our coaching session. This technology works by increasing blood flow, bringing oxygen and other vital minerals to the target area. It also provides similar benefits as getting a deep tissue massage. What I find most interesting however, is it seems to numb the area you are working on, allowing the signals of pain to dissappear, allowing your body a chance to heal better. The types of tools I implement can be found below.

Corrective Exercise (CE)
Corrective exercise can be beneficial for anyone. I take all my clients through a testing protocol on our first session. I use the FunctionalMovement.com program to identify imbalances in mobility and stability in your body. Once you've been tested, we can identify if you can move straight in strength and conditioning, or if we need to spend a little bit of time developing your mobility and stability. The goal is to score a 14 of or higher.
Why do I do this?
Do you have discomfort/pain?
Unless you sustained a serious injury, most discomfort comes from overuse or imbalance. Corrective exercise can fix that.
Do you have a limiting condition?
Corrective exercise definitely helps! I work with people who have had strokes, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, alzheimer's disease, knee problems, shoulder problems, back problems.
Want to get stronger?
Perhaps your muscle imbalance or lack of mobility is holding you back.
Want to get bigger muscles?
Muscles grow when they stretch. Lack of mobility means you can stretch your muscles as much and can actually lead to muscle, ligament or tendon tears.
Strength and Conditioning (S&C)
Want to get stronger? Or Bigger? Peeps, I got your back.
For Strength and Conditioning, I take a teaching approach. I want you to learn how to be self-sufficient in the gym. By the end of your 12th month working with me on S&C, the only reason you'll need to keep me around is to continue to push you past your comfort zone, spot you, and help you enjoy the workouts.
Functional Training (FT)
The more ways you move in different directions, the better you becoming at moving.
This is my favorite kind of S&C training. This type of training involves 3-dimensional movements.
For example, a squat is an up/down movement, while a lateral lunge is a up/down, left/right movement. A lateral lunge is considered a FT movement while a squat is just a S&C movement.
I incorporate this type of training into everything that I do. It helps develop better neural pathways, which in turn, develops better mind-body connection.
High Performance Training for Swimming
With my background in swimming, it's obvious I offer this service.
I offer S&C services for adolescent and professional swimmers as well as high-performance swim workouts and training techniques.
I am also available for in-water competitive stroke instruction and dabble in learn-to-swim lessons during the summer.
